Privacy policy

Last updated October 14, 2026

This page explains what information this website collects and what happens when you reach out to me. It covers the website only. Once you become a client, your counseling records are protected separately, as described below.

What this website collects

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or accounts. I don't collect or store anything you type into the site.

Like most websites, it relies on a few outside services to work:

These providers handle that information under their own privacy policies. I don't use it to identify visitors.

The contact form and email

My secure contact form is provided by SimplePractice, the HIPAA-compliant system I use to manage my practice. When you click "Send a Secure Message," the form opens on SimplePractice's website, and what you enter goes directly to my SimplePractice account, not through this website or email. SimplePractice handles that information under its own privacy policy and its HIPAA obligations to me.

You can also email me directly or call. Regular email and text messages aren't fully secure, so please keep those messages brief: your name, the best way to reach you, and the kind of support you're looking for. Please leave out sensitive details such as diagnoses, medications, or personal history. We can talk about those privately once we connect.

How I use what you send

I use your name, contact information, and message only to reply to you, answer your questions, and schedule a consultation. I don't sell, rent, or share it for marketing.

Once you become a client

Information shared in counseling is confidential and protected by federal law (HIPAA) and Massachusetts law. Before we begin, you'll receive my Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains how your health information is used and protected, the limited exceptions to confidentiality, and your rights.
